Mumbai Thief Steals Kiss From House Owner After Finding No Valuables at Home
A thief stole a kiss from the owner of the house which he attempted to rob at a Mumbai society in Malad.
Mumbai: A thief, who broke into a Mumbai house with intentions of a robbery, stole a kiss from the owner after he didn’t find any valuables. The accused, who made the robbery attempt in a flat in Mumbai’s Malad, committed this act after he failed to find any valuables.
According to reports, the thief held a 38-year-old woman hostage in the house and threatened her to handover all the valuables including money, phones, jewellery among others.
However, the lady owner said she didn’t have any of them. Before leaving the house, he stole a kiss from the woman. The woman later registered a complaint with the police.
The accused was later arrested and booked under charges of molestation and attempted robbery. The incident took place on January 3.
In another incident, a 44-year-old woman was allegedly beaten up and injured by five persons during a meeting at a housing society in Navi Mumbai, police said on Tuesday.
Office bearers and chairman of the housing society in Rabale were involved in the attack that took place on Sunday, an official said.
He said the victim raised some queries during the meeting, which did not go well with the accused, who allegedly verbally abused her, pushed her to the ground and punched her repeatedly.
The injured woman has been hospitalised, the official said.
He said an offence was registered against the accused under sections 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 189(2) (unlawful assembly) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
