Payal Rohatgi faces charges for making objectionable comments
The Rajasthan Police has registered a case against Indian actress & reality TV performer Payal Rohatgi. The case was filed under sections 66 & 67 of IT Act.
The Rajasthan Police on Thursday registered a case against Indian actress and reality TV performer Payal Rohatgi. The case was filed under sections 66 and 67 of the IT Act. Youth Congress leader Charmesh Sharma had registered the complaint against the actress. He has alleged that Payal was making objectionable comments against the family of freedom fighter Motilal Nehru.
Payal Rohatgi slams Mumbai Police
Earlier, Payal Rohatgi slammed Mumbai Police for blocking her on a social media platform. In a tweet, the actress shared a screenshot of the Mumbai Police's Twitter feed that read "Mumbai Police has blocked you". Alleging a communal angle, the actress stated that as a Hindu she is scared to live in the country and further accused the police of having a biased behaviour.
In July, Payal had also launched a complaint against Bigg Boss fame Ajaz Khan alleging that he posted lewd comments against her on various social media platforms and also hurt religious sentiments of a certain community.
As per media reports, she recently visited the cyber cell office and submitted her application which stated that Khan has hurt the feelings of a particular community by posting certain comments on social media. She reportedly further accused Khan of misogyny, accusing him of using derogatory language against a Bollywood actress and calling her ‘C-grade'. The Cyber cell officials reportedly confirmed that they will look into the matter.
