PM Modi calls on Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, discusses a plethora of issues over breakfast
A day after being appointed Prime Minister for a second term, Narendra Modi on Sunday called on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at his official residence in New Delhi.

A day after being appointed Prime Minister for a second term, Narendra Modi on Sunday called on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at his official residence in New Delhi. Venkaiah Naidu greeted him on being elected as the leader of the NDA and the next Prime Minister.
Taking on his Twitter account, PM Modi wrote: 'Called on Vice President Shri @MVenkaiahNaidu Ji. @VPSecretariat'.
Venkaiah Naidu and PM Modi discussed many issues, including accelerating development and strengthening Parliamentary institutions, over breakfast.
Prime Minister Modi was on Saturday appointed prime minister by President Ram Nath Kovind after he was unanimously elected NDA parliamentary party leader at a meeting in which he asked coalition members to work without discrimination, stressing on the need to win the trust of minorities.
In the general election, he led the BJP-led NDA to a landslide victory with the alliance winning 353 seats, including an unprecedented 303 by the BJP.
After leading the Bharatiya Janata Party to a landslide victory on May 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tendered his resignation to President Kovind on May 24 and addressed his cabinet for the last time in 16th Lok Sabha. On May 25, he is scheduled to visit his mother Heeraben Modi at her residence in Gujarat to seek her blessings.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, he announced the same. He also stated that on Monday, he will be visiting Kashi to thank the people for "reposing their faith in him".
