Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to Bollywood actor Kabir Bedi after he hit out a tweet encouraging people to vote and not listen to those who have forgotten the sins of the Congress. He further asked people to believe in the vision and progressive policies of PM Modi.

Thanking the actor for his "unequivocal support", PM Modi said that the wishes give him great strength "I assure you I would work hard to fulfil the aspirations of the people of India, especially our youth."

Kabir Bedi in his tweet had also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is by far the best one the country has ever seen. Read his tweet below- 

Meanwhile, the first phase of Elections was held on April 11 that saw 20 states go to polls with 91 Parliamentary seats. The polls saw seats from where high profile candidates (including Union Ministers) are fighting.

Nitin Gadkari, Kiren Rijiju, VK Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Hansraj Ahir, Agatha Sangma, Mukul Sangma, Harish Rawat, Ajay Tamta, Jayant Chaudhary, Satyapal Singh, Nabam Tuki, Renuka Chowdary, Nama Nageswara Rao, Chirag Paswan, Asaduddin Owaisi are some of the key canidates contesting polls during Phase I.
