National Approval Ratings: In a two party contest, NDA predicted to win in Rajasthan, UPA to come a distant second

The Lok Sabha elections are less than five months away, and the mood in each state of the country is buzzing with speculations on how parties will fare there. Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has released the National Approval Ratings to get a snapshot of the mood of the nation and answer the question: What would happen if results were held today?

The Lok Sabha elections are less than five months away, and the mood in each state of the country is buzzing with speculations on how parties will fare there.

Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has released the National Approval Ratings to get a snapshot of the mood of the nation and answer the question: What would happen if results were held today?

The numbers for Rajasthan for the month of January are here.

The NDA is projected to do well in Rajasthan. It is projected to win 18 seats out of the 25 leaving UPA with only 7 seats.

Vote share: 

NDA: 49.4%

UPA: 44%

Others: 6.7%

Projections for December:

Out of 25 seats up for grabs in Rajasthan, the NDA was slated to win 19 leaving the Congress with only 6 seats. This reflects that assembly election results did not affect the National elections but surprisingly the projection is turning out to be in favour of BJP from the last edition vis-a-vis Rajasthan.

Projections in November:

17 of the seats were projected to be going the BJPs way while 8 were projected to be going the Congress way in the blockbuster 2 party contest in Rajasthan . 

Congress seemed to be at a respectable 43% , with BJP getting 48.9%. The others will receiver 8%.

The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
