The Lok Sabha elections are less than five months away, and the mood in each state of the country is buzzing with speculations on how parties will fare there.

The projections for Puducherry for the month of January are out.
In Puducherry, where only one seat is up for grabs, the projection for January is that UPA will win.
Vote share projection for the Union Territory is that UPA will win 49.7% and NDA will win 14.7%. Others will win 35.6%
During the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, BJP won the seat in the state.
Congress secured 26.3% of vote share, 37.6% was grabbed by BJP and 8.2% by DMK
Projections in December:
Seat Share
According to the National Approval Rating projections, Congress was predicted to grab that seat leaving none for BJP.
Vote Share
Whereas, Congress was projected to secure 40.8% of vote shares, followed by 27.8% for Others, 17.5% for BJP and 13.8% for DMK
Projections in November:
The pictures in Puducherry where the NDA for the first time made inroads in 2014, seemed to be gloomy for the BJP+ parties where the lone seat is going the UPA way. This pointed that the NDA in Puducherry seemed to be under the anti-incumbency wave
However, looking at the vote share, the NDA, even though projected to lose the seat was seeing a 5.5% increase in vote share as compared to last month, while the UPA which was projected to win the seat is seeing at a fall of 2.1% vote share
Further looking at the DMK, we see that it had a vote share of 27.4% which is 19.2% higher than 2014 and 3% higher than last month -- This shows that the DMK can play a major role in being the kingmaker if the elections are held today
The results of 2019 Lok Sabha elections may or may not reflect the results or scenarios of the state assembly elections, nevertheless, to establish where we stand at present, Republic TV and CVoter has presented the National Approval Ratings.
