Newly inducted Union Minister Amit Shah, on Thursday, has shared a message expressing his gratitude to PM Modi for reposing faith in him and has assured his best efforts in serving the people of India.
As per sources, Amit Shah will be handling the portfolio of Finance Minister as the previous Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has rescinded himself from the post due to health concerns.

Amit Shah took oath as a Union Minister of the cabinet headed by PM Narendra Modi on Thursday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan after Rajnath Singh and the Prime Minister himself.
He took the oath of office:
"I, Amit Shah, do swear in the name of God (or, solemnly affirm) that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established, that I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India, that I will faithfully and conscientiously discharge my duties as a Minister for the Union and that I will do right to all manner of people in accordance with the Constitution and the law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will."
