No Aaditya? Now, 'Uddhav as CM' posters outside Matoshree amid impasse

Even as the Maharashtra deadlock continues after 15 days of the elections results, a poster has been placed outside Matoshree this time with the demand of making Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister. While the Sena has been demanding the CM post for 2.5 years for newly elected MLA from Worli and Uddhav's son Aaditya Thackeray, reports suggest that the new demand of making Uddhav as CM was discussed as the Sena chief met MLAs in Hotel Retreat on Sunday.

After meeting Sena MLAs in the hotel, where they have been placed to prevent horse-trading in view of the current political crisis in the state, Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has reportedly reiterated that the next Chief Minister in the state will be from the Shiv Sena. This comes after Shiv Sena chief addressed media saying that BJP has betrayed the 50:50 formula that was decided between the Mahayuti alliance partners, in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, BJP leaders in the state met Fadnavis in his residence and BJP leader Sudhir Mungatiwar said that they will inform the Maharashtra governor about their decision at 4 PM on Sunday. Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Saturday offered single largest party - the BJP to show will to form the government in Maharashtra. The governor on Sunday also cancelled his visit to Nagpur.

Adding to the 'Maha'-confusion, Congress leader Milind Deora on Sunday, suggested that the governor should invite NCP-Congress to form the next Maharashtra government as the Mahayuti has failed to do so. At the other side, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the party is ready to form a government if 'no one is ready to form government', hinting at a Cong-NCP-Sena alliance. Exposing the Congress internal tussle yet again, its leader Sanjay Nirupam has said that alliance with Sena will be fatal for Congress.
