After bringing down 'Praja Vedika' building constructed next to the residence of Chandrababu Naidu by the previous TDP government, Andhra Pradesh government-led by Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued notice to the former CM to vacate his residence in Amravati.
The notice issued by the Jagan government was pasted outside his residence, in which it has alleged that the building violates environmental norms. As per inputs, a total of 28 buildings including Naidu's residence have been issued notice to clear the premises since they are built in a parameter of less than 100 metres from Krishna River Bank in the state.
Meanwhile, after the demolition of 'Praja Vedika' was demolished on Wednesday, the AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials removed the remaining furniture from there and bulldozers brought down the structure on Thursday. YSRCP defended the destruction of the building saying that there were complaints against its illegal construction along the lines of the Krishna river.
The building constructed by the previous chief minister cost about 5 crore rupees, however, Reddy valued it for 8.2 crores at the particular location. This is the first building that is being demolished by the new Andhra Pradesh government.
Earlier on Tuesday, Jagan downgraded the security provided to Chandrababu Naidu's family members including his son and former cabinet minister Nara Lokesh, who were provided Z category security previously. They will now have 2+2 gunmen, while security for Naidu's other family members has been completely withdrawn.
Calling it 'politcal vendetta', TDP leaders had demanded the Jagan party leaders to provide proofs that the Amravati building was illegal.
Days after taking charge as the new Andhra Pradesh CM, Jagan Mohan Reddy has revamped many of Naidu's policies by renaming and modifying various schemes initiated by the previous TDP government.
Chandrababu Naidu's TDP suffered massive loss at the hands of Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), which got the absolute majority in 175-member Assembly by winning 151 seats.
