Capt Amarinder Singh reacts
Even after so many days, @ImranKhanPTI has failed to help out Jagjit Kaur, forcibly converted & married against her wishes. I would like to extend my full support to the young girl & will be happy to have her & her family settle down in Punjab along with any help needed.

Singh had earlier appealed to Minister of External Affairs of India S Jaishankar and asked him to take up the matter. He tweeted, "Shocking incident of a Sikh girl being kidnaped & forced to convert to Islam in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan. Call upon @ImranKhanPTI to take firm and immediate action against the perpetrators. Request @DrSJaishankar to strongly take up the issue with his counterpart at the earliest."
Protest outside Pakistan Embassy
Sikh community members took to the streets of New Delhi to protest against the abduction and alleged forced conversion of 18-year old Jagjit Kaur in Pakistan. The protestors marching towards the Pakistan High Commission intended to send a message to Pakistani PM Imran Khan, demanding his action. As they approached the embassy with black flags and while chanting slogans against Pakistan, the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were forced to halt them from proceeding. At this point, some protestors attempted to break through the barricades but were prevented from doing so.
