Tej Pratap Yadav involved in an accident in Patna, sustains an injury to his leg. Here's what happened

On Friday, RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav hurt his leg and five others were injured when the cars they were travelling in met with an accident here, police said.

According to the police, "Tej Pratap Yadav was going from his official residence towards his party office with an aide, when their speeding car collided with another car coming from the opposite direction near the busy Eco Park area."

While the former Bihar Health Minister hurt his leg, his aide was critically injured. Four others, who were sitting in the other car also received minor injuries. While many onlookers present around the spot of the accident said that they were not sure as to who was driving the vehicle, some said that Tej Pratap's car was hit by another car rode by a group of college going boys. 

As per the witnesses of the incident, two cars were moving at full speed. Tej Pratap's vehicle was hit by a car. In the video taken by onlookers, the front wheel of the car is seen destroyed. 

Soon after the incident, his mother - former Chief Minister of Bihar and his sister Misa Bharti rushed to the hospital to see the condition of Tej Pratap. However, sources have informed that he is out of danger and there is nothing to fear.

After the RJD's poll debacle, Tej Pratap had written a letter to the current RJD chief and his brother Tejashwi Yadav advising him to look forward and pay heed to his suggestions. He spoke to news agency ANI about RJD's poor performance on Wednesday. Tej Pratap had reiterated his suggestions that he had given in his letter. He had said that there were two reasons for RJD's defeat - one, the absence of Lalu Prasad Yadav ji and two, that the party gave tickets to anti-social elements, and there was a problem in seat sharing with the Mahagathbandhan. 

Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav after meeting with the party on May 28 and May 29 had said: 

"No doubt, we have been defeated by unexpected results came out from the recently concluded Lok Sabha election in favour of NDA but we are not dejected. There is no threat to the unity of Mahagatbandhan (grand alliance) because we are still as united as we were when the alliance was formed,” claimed RJD’s leader of opposition in state assembly Tejashawi Yadav on Wednesday."
