Pulwama Terror Attack: Kashmiri businessmen in Canacona, Goa shut their shops for a day to stand in solidarity with the forces
Kashmiris living in Goa on Tuesday stood in solidarity with the nation as it protested the Pulwama terror attack. Nearly 250 Kashmiri shopkeepers in Canacona in South Goa kept their stores shut for one day on Tuesday to protest against the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on February 14.

Nearly 250 Kashmiri shopkeepers in Canacona in South Goa kept their stores shut for one day on Tuesday to protest against the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on February 14.
"Our business loss means nothing to us as compared to the loss faced by the country," Shabbir Ahmed from Canacona said.

The Canacona sub-district has beaches like Palolem, Agonda, Patnem, etc which are popular with foreign and domestic tourists.
In a similar show of support to the forces, Kashmiri youth in Baramulla, had come forward to participate in an Army recruitment drive in Baramulla district. Young men could be seen queuing up for the recruitment drive for 111 vacancies in the district in the valley.
An Army aspirant, Bilal Ahmad while speaking of participating in the army said that this will be an opportunity to serve the nation and sustain their families.
He said, "We will get the chance to sustain our families and serve our nation, what else can one want?"

Nearly 40 CRPF personnel were killed after a suicide bomber attacked a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district with a vehicle laden with explosives.
The convoy comprised 78 buses in which around 2,500 personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.
Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist group, claimed the responsibility for the attack which left the bus extensively damaged in the blast.
