Pune Porsche Crash: Probe Panel Finds JJB Member's Major Lapses in Granting Bail To Rich Brat

Pune: As investigation into Pune Porsche crash unraveled several attempts of alleged cover-ups, the committee formed to probe LN Danwade, the non-judicial member of the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) who had granted bail to the minor accused soon after the accident, has found multiple lapses on his part while passing order in the case.

According to probe panel, Danwade didn't consider the loopholes in the blood report and passed the order.

The probe panel observed that there were a lot of loopholes in the blood report which were enough to raise suspicion but Danwade didn’t consider it and passed the order.

For the unversed, the JJB — which consisted of just one non-judicial member that day instead of its full strength of three including one judicial member — had granted bail to the minor accused on various conditions including writing an essay, studying traffic safety norms and undergoing de-addiction counselling.

The panel alleged that the JJB didn't maintain any roster and that Danwade passed the order as per his availability that day. The committee further observed that the bail order was passed in a hurry despite all the concerned members not being present at the court that day.

It further noted that the decision passed by Danwade could have been overturned the next day by the JJB bench after taking note of the various evident loopholes but despite that his order was approved. The panel found fault on the part of all members of the bench with the major lapse being Danwade not considering the amendment in the FIR, which further raised suspicion.

The committee has submitted a detailed report of more than 100 pages against the two non-judicial members.

Moreover, a show cause notice has been issued against both the non-judicial members seeking reply on the loopholes.

On May 19, a minor had allegedly fatally knocked down two techies in Kalyani Nagara area in Pune under the influence of alcohol. The teen's father, realtor Vishal Agrawal, and mother Shivani were later arrested in the case for their suspected role in swapping of blood samples of the juvenile in order to save him.
