Rahul Gandhi 54th Birthday: The Raebareli MP Has a Suggestion for the Next Lunch With Tejashwi Yadav

Rahul Gandhi Birthday: Congress Raebareli MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday celebrated his 54th birthday. Wishing Rahul Gandhi, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav wrote on X, “Happiest returns of the day brother Rahul  Gandhi! You have exhibited remarkable vision and leadership. Wishing you a long, happy, healthy and successful life ahead!" Responding to the RJD leaders’ birthday message, Rahul Gandhi suggested the next lunch. “Thanks for your wishes, Tejashwi Yadav. Next lunch- Katla or Rohu,” wrote Rahul Gandhi. 

For the unversed, Katla and Rohu are two varieties of fish. 

Tejashwi Yadav’s fish controversy 

This comes months after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit out at Tejashwi Yadav for consuming fish during Navratri in April.  A month later, Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and other Opposition leaders shared a meal. The video was shared by Congress. Tejashwi Yadav, sharing a couch with Mr Gandhi, can be heard saying, “Hey (Mukesh) Sahani ji, your fish bones stuck in Modi ji's throat?”

In the video, Tejashwi Yadav can also be heard joking, “Rahul Gandhi has now had mutton twice”. To which, Rahul Gandhi can be heard saying “Now it's my and my sister’s (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) turn to invite them (for meal).”
