Rain Causes Severe Waterlogging in Parts of Delhi-NCR, Cripples Traffic
As the downpour continued till the peak hour, office-goers faced hard time.
New Delhi: Following heavy rains in parts of Delhi and its adjoining areas, including in Noida, on Friday, several areas experienced severe waterlogging which led to disruption in traffic movement.

The heavy overnight rainfall left several parts of the Delhi-NCR, including Madhu Vihar area, Rohini, Noida Sector 62, waterlogged. Visuals have emerged from the flooded areas wherein people can be seen wading through the knee-deep water.
Traffic Hit Near Delhi Airport, Pragati Maidan
Waterlogging was also reported at Mehram Nagar underpass towards Terminal 3 of Delhi airport. Heavy rainfall also caused traffic jams near Pragati Maidan. Visuals have emerged from the traffic spot wherein several cars can be seen crawling on the stretch.
Meanwhile, traffic was affected on key routes, including Outer Ring road, Aurobindo Marg, Vir Banda Bairagi Marg and W-Point Tilak Bridge road, as rain water had entered the areas making it difficult for commuters to travel.
The Delhi Traffic police tweeted, “Traffic is affected on Ring Road in both the carriageways from Naraina towards Moti Bagh and vice-versa due to waterlogging under Dhaula Kuan Flyover.”
The video shared by the traffic police shows a car stuck in the middle waterlogged-road.
On Vir Banda Bairagi Marg, traffic was hit in both the carriageways due to waterlogging at Azad Market underpass.
On Aurobindo Marg, traffic was affected in both the carriageways from INA towards AIIMS and vice-versa due to waterlogging under AIIMS Flyover.
Traffic was also hit on Road No. 13 in both the carriageways from Kalindi Kunj towards Crown Plaza and vice-versa due to waterlogging at Okhla underpass.
There were some reports of trees being uprooted which further aggravated the traffic woes. The traffic police tweeted, "Traffic is affected on Mathura Road in the carriageway from Ashram towards Badarpur due to uprooting of a tree."
