Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of the captain of the Indian cricket team, Kapil Dev. The Indian cricket team played against West Indies in the World Cup finals and brought the trophy home. Actor Deepika Padukone also features in the film as Kapil Dev's wife, and she is also co-producing the film. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Madhu Mantena and Reliance Entertainment. Besides Ranveer Singh, the cast also includes actors such as Tahir Raj Bhasin, Boman Irani, Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem, and Sacred Games star Jatin Sarna. Pritam has come on board as the music director for the film, which will hit theatres on April 10, 2020.
