Robber hurt in police encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Agra
The Police discovered a 315 Bore pistol, three rounds, a motorbike & 1,700 rupees in cash from the robbers after the encounter.
Agra, UP: A robber was hurt during an encounter between the Malpura Police and robbers in Agra, according to police authorities.
According to DCP West Agra Sonam Kumar, Malpura police received information from an informer on Saturday that the accused, who perpetrated the robbery in Nagla Basua a few days earlier, were on their way to Malpura from Patholi Canal.
When the police team arrived to check on the information, the accused began firing at them; in reaction, they fired in self-defense and hit the accused on the left leg.
According to DCP Sonam Kumar, the injured accused Nizam was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The police have identified two other suspects, Rohit and Lakhan, but they are still on the run.
