Saints who were a part of the two-day 'Sant Sammelan' in Talkatora stadium in New Delhi, have announced mega conventions at three cities, namely Ayodhya, Nagpur and Bengaluru, over the next month, on the Ayodhya Ram Mandir issue. This comes after Hansaguru Devacharya, on behalf of all the saints, said that there should be 'no more talks or compromises, either make law or bring ordinance'.
Here's the schedule of the mega-conventions:
- November 25 and December 6: Conventions in Ayodhya, Nagpur and Bengaluru
- December 9: Five lakh saints to congregate in New Delhi
The Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti has also released a 'Dharmadesh' (commandment) that clearly states that 'either make law or make ordinance'. Here the copy of the same:
Earlier in the day, Art of Living founder and Ayodhya mediator Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, while addressing the 'Sant Sammelan', stated that there are three options that can be opted for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
'We have three options' to resolve the Ayodhya Dispute', he said:
- First is talk and build consensus
- Second is the Supreme Court
- The third is the government should do something on the issue
He also addressed the media and said:
"It's the wish of the country -- lakhs of people want something that's why we need to find a way, let me just discuss it first".
Meanwhile, the onus is being put on the BJP-led central government to come up with a quick resolution for Lord Ram's temple to be built in Ayodhya in the wake of Supreme Court's recent order on this matter in October wherein hearings in the case were delayed till January 2019 at the very least.

Earlier on Saturday at the 'Sant Sammelan', after the day's meeting, a number of individuals spoke in favour of bringing an ordinance to settle the matter. Vishwa Hindu Parishad's acting president Alok Kumar urged the Centre to table a law on the floor of the house for the construction of the temple. He said:
"We have requested the central govt to make law and constructed the Ram Mandir as soon as possible. SC will not be overruled. but it is in the hands of Parliament to bring an ordinance. so it is advisable to pass the ordinance. If not then the Sant community will acknowledge the further course of action."
