Gurugram: Ahead of Haryana Chief Minister Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar's visit, Section 144 has been imposed in Gurugram district under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

Section 144 will come in effect from Sunday, December 31. In a post shared on social media platform X, DC Gurugram said, "As per the intimation from Addl. Director General of Police, CID, Haryana Panchkula, the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Haryana is visiting Gurugram on 31.12.2023."

DM's order in Gurugram 

The post further read that due to city concerns, the use of unmanned aerial vehciles such as drones will be banned in Gurugram.

It also read, "District Magistrate, Gurugram, Shri Nishant Kumar Yadav, hereby impose this ban in accordance with Section 144 of the Cr. PC."

"This order will be disseminated across Gurugram District via public relations department's van and posted prominently at various locations including District HQ, Sub Divisional offices, Tehsils, Courts, Public places, and Police Stations."

However, the post also states that violators will be prosecuted under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As per this, violator charged for this offence he/she can be punished with simple imprisonment for 1 month or fine of Rs 200 or both.
