The emergence of these videos comes after a rape case was filed against the former Congress MLA by a woman. Reports suggest that these videos, shared by BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla, are somehow connected to the ongoing case. However, the authenticity of these videos linked to the former MLA is subject to verification. Republic doesn't confirm its authenticity.In a scathing post on Twitter, BJP spokesperson Poonawalla likened Mewaram to the 'Jeffery Epstein of Congress,' condemning the party for harbouring individuals with questionable conduct. He pointedly referred to past controversies within the party, urging Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi to speak up for the victims affected by this case. The circulation of these videos has sparked outrage across social media platforms.The rape case against Mewaram Jain and eight others filed by the woman reportedly includes references to these videos. The victim, in her complaint, detailed allegations of rape and sexual assault committed by Mewaram, notably in the presence of her minor daughter. Mewaram Jain, who is a former Congress MLA, also served as a minister in the previous Congress government in Rajasthan. He is considered one of the top leaders within the state's Congress party.
