The Bharatiya Janta Party has decided to observe 'Seva Saptah' from September 14 to September 20 to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.
A central committee has been formed with BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna as the convenor and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal as a member of the committee.
While divulging details about 'Seva Saptah', BJP National Secretary Arun Singh said, "Modi government is dedicated to the poor people of the country. Ever since Narendra Modi Ji has taken charge as Prime Minister, he has dedicated his life to the poor of the nation."
'Many of the Modi government schemes like Ujjwala Yojna (providing electricity in every household), PM Awas Yojna, Aayushman Yojna, and many others are successful schemes that have benefitted the poor. The Modi government is dedicated to the poor, as the PM Modi himself comes from a poor background, he understands the problems and difficulties faced by the poor in the country,' he added.
'Seva and Modi have become Synonyms today'- BJP
Seva and Modi have become synonyms today, the BJP believes, and it is because of this that the party has decided to observe PM Narendra Modi's birthday as Seva Saptah. BJP Working President, JP Nadda has directed BJP workers from across the country to participate in the week-long Seva Saptah.
A crucial component of the Seva Saptah will be BJP functionaries helping those in need, with senior functionaries visiting hospitals to render what services they can, while the party will also be organising various other activities like blood donation camps and many more such events during the Seva Saptah.
Various social activities like blood donation camps and environment preservation awareness programs will be organised
During Seva Saptah party workers will also promote PM Modi's anti-plastic drive, Swachata Abhiyan and his save water initiative. During the Seva Saptah, all the BJP MLAs and MPs will be visiting various schools to promote shunning the use of single-use plastic under PM Modi's anti-plastic drive.
BJP has also released two slogans to encourage party workers for maximum participation.
For environment and water conservation:
"Shudd paryavaran, jal sanchay
Jiwan ka ho ab yeh nishchay"
To' promote Swacha Bharat Abhiyan'
"Swasthya Jiwan ka yahi Aadhar
Saaf safayi ka kare vayavahar"
