Shankaracharyas on Republic TV: First time ever, all Shankaracharyas came on one platform with Republic Media Network's Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami. If the people there have any dispute with the government, then what is the fault of the Hindus living there? Why are they being killed selectively? Why are their temples being demolished? We are seeing what is happening to Hindus in Bangladesh. It would be good if the Government of India and the Government of Bangladesh sit and talk about this and find a way out.The unrest in Bangladesh clearly points that there is an attempt to bring the Sharia Law in the country like Afghanistan-Taliban, Iran.He shared the concern of the Hindus in the politically unstable country saying what's their mistake, why are they being targeted. India and Bangladesh must sit together and work towards the betterment of minorities, especially Hindus. The governments must find a solution to end this unrest, if steps are not taken against the welfare of Hindus amid Bangladesh situation, then it will be become an example for the world, and if in future, a similar situation arrises elsewhere, then it will be ignored. There are over 1 crore Hindus in Bangladesh, and other minorities, therefore, one must acknowledge who is attacking whom. The opinion of all the four Shankaracharya is the same, our principles are the same. Everyone is worried about Hindus. This problem should be solved soon. Shankaracharya Swami AvimukteshwaranandJyotirmath's Shankaracharya Shri Avimukteswaranand said that India's partition was the first example of division on the basis of religion where the country was divided into two parts due to religious reasons.Even in such a situation, we maintained peace, endured everything and the country got divided. There was exchange of people, those who were Hindus were coming back to India and from here Muslims were going to those places, violence was done in between and then Mountbatten got the opportunity to say that the people of both the countries were unable to handle freedom.Our country was divided when some said that they didn't want to live with Hindus.At that time, minorities were ensured of their security and asked to remain wherever they were but even then they were targeted.Now, in terms of Bangladesh, it's a difficult time in regards to what's happening there.In a time of this unrest in Bangladesh, Hindus who are coming to India are being stopped at the border, but they should be allowed to enter India.We must open our doors for Hindus who are coming from Bangladesh, they must be allowed to enter India.We have even requested it to the President to convey to the Prime Minister that they (community) will take care of food, accommodation, clothes for the immigrants who chose to come to India from Bangladesh, and requested the government to just provide land and security to them.Hindus should be ensured that India is their land, and community people from across the world will be welcomed.There are more Bangladeshis who live in India and a situation shouldn't arise where they have to leave the country. We stand united with the Hindus of Bangladesh. Vijayendra Saraswati, Shankaracharya, Kanchi PeethBangladesh was earlier a part of ancient India. I am worried about the bloodshed and killings that took place due to the partition.Shankaracharya said that India has an old relationship with today's Bangladesh. The relationship is of Ayurveda, Shaktipeeths. Bangladesh is important for us from cultural and religious point of view. For Hindus it is a place of pride, a place of love. That's why we are thinking about the people there without any malice. Just like skill development is happening in India today, the same can happen there also from India's side. The people there can be legally protected. Earlier there were 27 percent Hindus, now there are 9 percent. Work should be done to safeguard their interest. Minorities must be treated well in Bangladesh and peace must establish soon in Bangladesh.India should raise the voice of minorities in Bangladesh.The United Nation must also keep a watch on the Bangladesh situation.The government needs to stand firmly with the Hindus in Bangladesh. I wish for the welfare of all the sanatanis in India and world, they must remain in peace and prosperity.Vidhushekhar Bharati Mahaswami, ShankaracharyaSanatana Dharma is the ‘shrestha dharam’ – one of the best – in the world.People should rise above self-interest and must remain concerned and happy in the welfare of others. Bharat (India) never attacked any other country, only retaliated in self-protection.All Hindu organisations in India and world must take steps for self-protection and welfare of sanatanis.Government should also remain concerned towards the sanatanis during such times. Need of the hour is to remain aware and awaken towards the protection of the Sanatan Dharam.Till the time we remain united, nobody can harm us.All the four Shakaracharyas in conversation with Arnab, in one voice, expressed their concern towards the plight of Hindus, other minorities in Bangladesh, where they have become the target of Islamists as their houses, businesses, temples are being attacked, amid the political unrest which has led to the complete collapse of law and order, and the current dispensation under new interim chief Muhammad Yunus is unable to handle it.
