Shop Owner, Son Allegedly Kills 30-Year-Old Man For Not Buying Grocery From Their Store
A man was attacked with an iron rod and stabbed with scissors allegedly by a grocery shop owner and his sons in Delhi for not purchasing from their store.
New Delhi: A 30-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly attacked with an iron rod and stabbed with scissors by a grocery shop owner and his sons in northwest Delhi's Shakurpur for not purchasing from their store, police reported on Monday.
The incident took place on June 30, and the victim identified as Vikram Kumar, succumbed to his injuries.
Lokesh Gupta, the shop owner, along with his sons Priyansh and Harsh, were arrested and charged with murder, police said.
According to police, Vikram's family, once regular customers of Gupta’s shop, had ceased their purchases about a month ago due to some issues between them. This dispute led to a confrontation around 10 pm on Sunday. During the clash, Gupta and his sons hit Vikram with an iron rod and stabbed him in the neck, resulting in his death.
Man Murdered in Uttar Pradesh's Benipur
A resident of Kadergaon in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi police station area was allegedly killed near the Benipur. The incident took place near the Benipur canal on the Amethi-Sultanpur Road.
The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Ajay Singh. Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar Singh said Ajay, was travelling to Kadergaon on a motorcycle with his friend Saurabh late on Friday. During this time, two people, including one Monu Pasi, attacked him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Ajay succumbed to his injuries.
Ajay Singh was the sibling of Pawan Singh, the village head of Kadergaon. Singh said initial investigations revealed that the attackers had a prior dispute with Ajay Singh. Police have registered a case and are actively searching for the assailants.
A case has been filed and a search is underway for the attackers, he added.
