Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while on his visit to Badami town was confronted by a local woman on Wednesday, October 23. According to the reports, a woman from the flood-affected areas who lost her house told Siddaramiah that the locals were told that if they vote for him, they will get a house. Upon that, the woman asked the former CM "You have got out the vote, when will we get our house?"

Siddaramiah's visit to Badami
According to reports, the Senior Congress leader, Siddaramiah, on Wednesday visited the flood-affected town, Badami, to take stock of the damages caused by floods. He was accompanied by a group of men and the local police. The former CM was standing on a broken road in Badami that was damaged by the heavy rains and floods.

Karnataka floods
Heavy rains and floods have gripped the state of Karnataka since October 18. According to reports, the death toll due to floods in Karnataka has reached 13 on Wednesday. Further data collected by the State government revealed a total of 150 livestock have been killed and more than 10,000 houses have been damaged. Out of the total damaged houses, 9,832 are partially damaged and 206 completely damaged. Along with it, several roads have also been damaged.
Relief measures
According to reports, a total of 7,220 people have been rehabilitated across Karnataka in 28 relief camps since October 18. Along with it, around four Additional Directorate General of Public Information Indian Army (ADGPI) teams were pressed into action for relief and rescue operations in the flood-hit Raichur district. According to the PRO Bengaluru, more teams are on standby and will be put to action.
