Sirsa lashes out at Kejriwal, says 'Religious sites are our legacy'

Manjinder Singh Sirsa lashed out against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Government for its proposal to realign the Bhai Mati Das Chowk and other religious sites in the Chandni Chowk area of Delhi. Sirsa shared a video message on his social media platforms. In his message, the Akali Dal leader even mentioned the government's proposal to demolish the Piau Sahib Gurudwara which was restored after a High Court Order. He asked the Delhi Government to leave the religious sites alone. A petition filed in the Supreme Court by Congress leader Rajesh Lilothia asked for a direction to allow construction of a Guru Ravidas temple in the Tughlaqabad forest area in Delhi. The temple was demolished by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) following the court's direction as it was built on encroached forest land. DDA's decision was met with protests by devotees and others who disagreed with the move.
