Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked the Bihar state government over the flood situation in Patna. He said that it is shameful that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called the current situation a mere natural disaster. Furthermore, he accused the government officials of infighting.

'There is no one for the public'

Yadav, while pointing out that there is no one for the public, on Saturday, said, "Chief Minister's remark that this is a mere natural disaster is shameful. The concerned government officials are nowhere to be seen. The entire system has failed and the 'double-engine' state government is fighting within like animals.”

He also added, "No work is being done in Bihar. The RJD has helped the public to their best ability during this tough time." He further blamed corruption that had led to a bad drainage system in Patna as a reason behind the disaster that Patna is facing right now. Every year, there is floods and water-logging in different parts of the state. We have repeatedly raised the issue but the state government doesn't give heed to these matters.”
