Traffic condition in other States
Traffic continues to remain a big problem for travelers in Mumbai. The ongoing Metro work in the city is contributing heavily to the slow-moving traffic in the city at peak hours. In Delhi, the situation of traffic remains to be a big problem as well. Talking about the traffic and increasing pollution levels in Delhi and its surrounding areas, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar had said, "Today when Delhi pollution and traffic is discussed, I feel happy to inform that the Western Peripheral Expressway constructed by the Modi government has contributed well in decreasing the pollution levels and traffic. Post the construction of the western express peripheral way, all the vehicles including 60,000 trucks that had no business in Delhi stopped entering the national capital."
