Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy on Friday said he would undertake his maiden visit to northeastern states for three days from October 20 to review law and order situation and meet Governors, Chief Ministers and other top officials.
"I am visiting northeastern states for three days from tomorrow, on 20th, 21st and 22nd. I am going to that region for the first time after becoming Minister of State for Home," he said. "I will review law and order problems in that area. I will have meetings with Chief Ministers, Governors, our para-military (forces), local police DGPs and IGs," he told reporters here.
Kishan Reddy, Lok Sabha member from Secunderabad here, was speaking during a 'padayatra' undertaken by him in his constituency as part of BJP's nation-wide 'Gandhi Sankalp Yatra' to propagate the ideals of principles of Mahatma Gandhi to mark his 150th birth anniversary.
PM Modi shuns Opposition on economy
Prime Minister Modi in retaliation to the opposition parties for targeting the government over the slowdown of the economy assured the youth that the coming years were going to be full of possibilities. He further asserted that the government is committed to make India a $5 trillion economy. "Howsoever much somebody tries to spread negativity, I assure the youth that the coming years are full of possibilities," Modi said addressing an election rally on Thursday. He said business leaders were keen to come to India, investment has grown in five years and the country is seen as an FDI-friendly country. "Every business leader I've had a discussion with globally is keen to come to India. The growth in investment in India in the last five years has been five times," he said.
Jan Ki Baat Opinion poll predicts BJP to overcome vote-share, seat-share in Haryana and Maharashtra
The halfway mark for 288 seats in Maharashtra is 145; the Jan Ki Baat Opinion Poll predicts that the BJP will win between 142-145 seats, 1.e. an average of 143 seats. In Haryana, 90 assembly seats are up for the contest and the halfway mark is 46 seats – the Jan Ki Baat Opinion poll predicts that the BJP is likely to win between 58-70 seats, i.e. 64 seats on an average. In Maharashtra, the BJP is likely to get a hold of 33% of vote share, a four percent bump from the 2014 assembly polls during which it had got 28.1%. The vote- share for BJP is likely to jump from 56.7% from its previous 33.3% in Haryana.
