UP Horror: Merchant Navy Officer Killed by Wife, Her Lover; Dismembered Body Found In Cement Drum

Meerut: In a sensational murder case that has rattled the local community in UP’s Meerut, a Merchant Navy officer has been brutally murdered by his wife and her alleged lover in a meticulously planned crime.

According to Meerut Police, Saurabh Rajput—who had recently returned from London after serving in the Merchant Navy—was killed by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, in collusion with her lover, Mohit ails Sahil.

The gruesome incident took place in the Indranagar area, within the jurisdiction of the Brahmpuri police station. Eyewitnesses report that shortly after the murder, the perpetrators dismembered Saurabh’s body and sealed the remains inside a drum, which was subsequently filled with cement. In an effort to recover the body for forensic examination, police had to resort to using a drill machine to break open the sealed drum. The discovery of a body from a drum drew a large crowd of onlookers who gathered outside the residence, expressing shock and disbelief at the unfolding tragedy.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the illicit relationship between Muskan and Mohit may have been the driving force behind the crime. Although initial findings point toward extra marital relationships, the exact motive behind the murder remains under investigation.

Meerut SP city has confirmed the arrest of both Muskan and Mohit, and further interrogations are underway. In addition, Meerut Police has begun questioning the landlord and other tenants from the building, aiming to piece together the sequence of events that led to this horrific act.

Saurabh Rajput untimely death has not only left his family and friends in mourning but has also sent shockwaves throughout Meerut.
