UP Shocker: Bride-to-Be, 22, Shot Dead by Ex-Boyfriend on Her Wedding Day
"Kajal bahar aao, tumne hume dhokha diya hai (Come out, Kajal. You have betrayed me)," the accused, Deepak, was reportedly heard shouting.
New Delhi: In yet another tragic incident, a 22-year-old woman was shot dead by her ex boyfriend in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi. The incident took place when the woman was getting ready for her wedding at a beauty parlour on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Kajal Ahirwar, a native of Datia in Madhya Pradesh.
If reports are to be believed, her boyfriend forced his way in the parlour and shot her multiple times. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead. Her body has been sent for postmortem examination.
"Kajal bahar aao, tumne hume dhokha diya hai (Come out, Kajal. You have betrayed me)," the accused, Deepak, was reportedly heard shouting. A video of the incident from the scene has also emerged wherein the man can be seen running out of the beauty parlour right after the shooting. The cops reached the spot but failed to nab the accused.
How, When And Where The Incident Happened?
"My sister was getting ready when he came and asked her to come with him. When she refused, he broke the door and shot her," recounted the victim's sister.
"His name is Deepak, and he is from our village. Today was my sister's wedding day. She had gone to the parlor to get ready. The attacker, carrying a backpack and with a handkerchief tied around his face, confronted her. He accused her of betraying him and insisted she come with him," the victim's sister added.
Speaking to a leading portal, a police officer confirmed that the man who shot the woman belongs to her village only. Investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind the killing. "Upon speaking to the family, it was revealed that they were visiting Jhansi for the wedding. The ex-boyfriend followed her there and fatally shot her", he added. Two teams have been formed and the search for the accused is underway.
