After a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) was shot dead on October 9, former Chief Minister of MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to Twitter to call out the Kamal Nath-led government in the state. Chouhan claimed the VHP member’s killing is the "murder of law and order” in the state. The former CM also drew a comparison between the ruling MP government and Kumbhakaran claiming that the government was sleeping. Apart from his, Chouhan also urged the government to act on the issue and arrest the culprits immediately.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan accuses MP government of carelessness
The former chief minister of MP took to Twitter and penned down a series of tweets expressing dismay over the VHP member’s death. He said, “In Mandsaur, Vishwa Hindu Parishad activist Yuvraj Singh was killed in broad daylight today. This murder is not the killing of any person but law and order. Nowadays law and order are not followed anywhere in Madhya Pradesh.”
“People are being shot with bullets each day and the Madhya Pradesh government is sleeping in Kumbhakaran-like sleep. This situation is unbearable. Is this the time for a change? Is this why the government changed in the state?” Shivraj Singh Chouhan added.
He continued by saying, “I demand that the culprits behind this incident be caught immediately. We cannot sit hand in hand, the government should not test our patience!”
Three motorbike-borne men shot Yuvraj Singh
The police said that a local office-bearer of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) was shot dead by unidentified people in Mandsaur town of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. As per PTI reports it was suspected that this fall-out was a result of a business dispute. Three motorbike-borne men shot Yuvraj Singh Chauhan (37) near a tea shop in the Geeta Bhawan area and fled. Chauhan, who was shot in the chest, died on the spot. The district superintendent of police (SP) Hitesh Choudhary said, "We have detained six persons and they are being questioned”. Yuvraj Singh was a member of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh and had shifted to the VHP in July, said Gurucharan Bagga, a local Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh leader.
