Mallya allowed appeal against extradition order
Earlier in July, the fugitive offender was allowed the appeal against his extradition order to India by the Royal Court of Justice in London in the alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to Rs 9,000 crores in India. He was branded as the first fugitive economic offender by a Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in Mumbai earlier this year, following an appeal by the Enforcement Directorate. Meanwhile, Mallya has been actively posting on Twitter and offering "100 percent payback" to state-owned Indian banks to cover his now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines' debt.
