In a viral video, Haritha Reddy wife of Andhra Pradesh Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy was seen scolding a cop for making her wait while she was en route to an event. She went on ask the cop, ‘Who is paying you salary?’ The incident took place in Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh.

Haritha Reddy while scolding SI Ramesh said "Why are you late, isn't it morning yet for you? What conference do you have that CI doesn't? Did you come for a wedding or duty, you don’t have a uniform? I had to wait for half an hour for you. Who pays your salary, government or YSRCP?”

According to the TDP spokesperson Prof Jyothsna Tirunagiri the CMO office has immediately taken up the matter. The minister's wife Haritha Reddy was going to the village for the distribution of pension and there was a delay from the official's side. Such kind of incidents are not acceptable as we must consider ourselves one among the people; whether it’s the CM or any minister, because no one is above the people. This was made very clear earlier and once again it has been reiterated to everyone very strongly.

Hitting out at TDP, YSRCP took to social media stating that the treatment of SI Ramesh by Haritha Reddy is a disgrace and it shows the amount of head power that TDP leaders have towards public servants. As the wife of a minister, she should uphold the values of respect and dignity towards our police force. They further said that this kind of behaviour undermines public trust.
