The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced an extension of the deadline for updating Aadhaar card details, now allowing citizens to make necessary changes until September 14, 2024. This extension aims to ensure that all individuals have ample time to update their biometric and demographic information.
Aadhaar, a unique 12-digit identification number, is based on biometric and demographic data. In light of recent recommendations from UIDAI, individuals who received their Aadhaar cards over a decade ago and have not updated them since are advised to submit Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents for revalidation.
