Amrit Bharat express is an Indian superfast train launched on 30th December, 2023 by Indian railways. The aim of Amrit Bharat express is to prioritize affordability and ease in travel for longer distances. The train is capable of operating at high speeds connecting cities over 800 km apart or those requiring more than ten hours of travel. Planned to launch as night-time express, the train set consists of two locomotives. One from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, a leading manufacturing unit while the rest 22 coaches are built by Integral Coach factory , part of Indian Railways’ five rake production units. The 22-coach train is designed and built to accommodate more than 1500 passengers and is ready to take on the journey ahead with ease and comfort

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Amrit Bharat Express trains which will run through different lanes.Amrit Bharat Express, train no. 15557, will departure at 3 pm every Monday and Thursday. It is scheduled to arrive in Ayodhya at 2:30 pm, Lucknow at 5:05 am on Tuesday, passing through Kanpur at 7:05 am, and finally reaching Delhi Anand Vihar Terminal at 12:25 pm.

The ticket price of Amrit Bharat Express ranges for distances of up to 50 kilometers, the second-class coach is about Rs 35, and a second-class journey on an Express train has a ticket price of Rs 30. In the sleeper class, the minimum fare is Rs 46 for up to 15 kilometers and Rs 65 for a 50-kilometer journey.
