Surprising Rs 1 Lakh Charge for Woman's Hairdryer Use at Hotel, Know Why

A lady in an Australian hotel got into trouble because her hair dryer accidentally set off the fire alarm. When the alarm went off at the Novotel Perth Langley, the firefighters quickly arrived, but it turned out to be a mistake. The woman was fined a big amount, about Rs 1.10 lakh, because her hair dryer caused a false alarm. She learned about the penalty amount deducted from her bank account. 

The women report “They sent no email, I called the hotel, (reception) said it was in their terms and conditions. So, if you’re at a buffet and the alarm goes off are they going to charge you for burning your toast," 

She learned that the deduction was part of their terms and conditions. After constantly following up with the hotel and contesting the charge, she received a refund, according to reports
