Ritika Anand's Historical Collaboration: 'BRAHMAPUTRA' by RRR Writer V Vijayendra Prasad

Ritika Anand, the producer and lead female actor of JL50, is taking on the producer role for a three-part movie series named "BRAHMAPUTRA". This project is set to be written by the legendary V. Vijayendra Prasad, known for his contributions to blockbusters like "RRR", "Bahubali", and "Bajrangi Bhaijan". The trilogy will be directed and produced by Shailender Vyas.

Ritika Anand expressed her enthusiasm for the "BRAHMAPUTRA" trilogy. She shared, "When I first heard about Raja Pritu Rai, I was deeply inspired by his humble courage. I've always had a strong desire to create a historical film, and Raja Pritu Rai's story resonated with me on a profound level. It's surprising that such a remarkable figure has never been the subject of a film before. Among these historical treasures, the narrative of Raja Pritu Rai stands as a source of immense pride for all Indians, and I can't wait to bring this story to life on the big screen." The first part of this trilogy delves into the life of Raja Pritu Rai, a significant historical figure from India and ruler of Kamarupa, which we now know as Assam, during the 12th century and was a key figure of the Khen dynasty. One of his most notable achievements was his victory over Bhaktiyar Khilji. This promises to be an intriguing and captivating exploration of India's rich historical heritage.

The enchanting backdrop of Assam, cradled by the majestic Brahmaputra River, brings forth its unique culture, aesthetics, and ambiance, promising to offer a cinematic experience like no other historical war drama in India. The Brahmaputra Trilogy stands as the first-ever war movie to showcase the rich history and valor of the region by focusing on lesser-known battles and conquests.
