Diwali 2019: Know all things you can do instead of bursting crackers
Diwali is only a week away, decide to go eco-friendly without crackers this year. Here are a few things you can do instead of bursting crackers this Diwali.
Bursting crackers may be fun, but for kids and animals, they're likely to be the worst. Crackers' sound deeply traumatizes pet and stray animals alike. Apart from bursting crackers, there is so much more that can be achieved on Diwali. Here are other things that you can do this Diwali.
Things you can do instead of bursting crackers this Diwali
Show kindness to poor people. Donate some money to them or go to an orphanage or a house for the disabled. It will make you feel warm and you will cherish the time you spend with them. You could always send orphaned children presents of books, toys, or clothing or welcome them at your house for a meal. Just taking care of children by feeding them or sheltering them in your house will be enough to brighten up their day.
If crackers cannot be stopped, then pick environmentally friendly fireworks. For family and friends, you can also let loose bright and wonderfully looking lanterns in the night sky. Diwali, after all, is the lights festival, not just crackers. Just make sure the lanterns are biodegradable!
It's Diwali, a holiday that needs fun, but it doesn't always need to involve crackers. Gather your parents, friends, and cousins for big khaandani fun under one roof. It's a great time to catch up with your family and friends who have been busy and have not seen you for years. You can play card games in your living room or you can also have a karaoke night with the family. Talk about everyone's childhood and hear some crazy stories of your grandparents.
Meet a friend or go out for dinner with them. Restaurants and shopping centers will be a great choice. You can make some sweets for your friends if you are visiting them. Meeting old friends will refresh your mind and remind you of all of your school or college days and the wonderful memories that accompanied them.
