Who doesn’t want a glowing skin? However, obtaining a clear glowing skin can be a challenging task as the daily exposure to dust and sun can dull your inner glow. Layers of mud and tan set on your skin every day, making it look lifeless. We have listed below few of the best homemade DIY face packs that are cheaper than a spa treatment and easy to use. If you have ever dreamt of having clear, glowing skin, here is what you need to know.

1.      Multani Mitti (Fuller’s earth) and Rosewater face pack

Add 1-2 tablespoon of Multani Mitti in a bowl and add a few drops of rosewater. Manage the consistency to make the face pack look like a paste. Apply the face pack to your face and leave it for 25-30 minutes. Rinse your face with cool water and dry your face gently. The advantage of using the two ingredients is that it helps fight acne and prevents oily skin, which in turn, prevents the clogging of the pores. Pro Tip: You may also add a dash of lemon to the face pack.

2.      Tomato and Cucumber face pack

Squish one tomato in a bowl, till it is as smooth as a paste. Grate half a cucumber and add it to the tomato paste. Apply the mixture for 20 minutes and then wash your face with normal water. Tomato prevents oily skin and acts as a sunscreen that smoothens the skin. It helps in reducing the size of the open pores and adds a natural glow to the skin. Cucumber has cooling properties that improve your complexion and removes blemishes and pigmentation. It also lightens the dark circles under your eyes. Pro Tip: You may also add lemon peel powder to the face pack.

3.      Aloe Vera and Turmeric

Mix 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel along with half a tablespoon of turmeric. Apply the paste to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse off the mask and pat your face dry gently. Aloe Vera has healing properties that also protects and nourishes your skin from toxins. Turmeric has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that prevent the skin from acne and breakouts. It is also an antioxidant that gives your skin a dreamy glow. Pro Tip: You may also add honey to the face pack.

4.      Yogurt and Banana

Yogurt is a natural exfoliator that dissolves dead skin and prevents breakouts. It also reduces wrinkles and ageing line. Paired it up with a banana, which is filled with antioxidants, it refreshes your skin. Pro Tip: You may add a little honey and lemon juice to the mixture.

5.      Honey and Lemon

Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice extracts in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Honey has antiseptic as well as antibacterial properties that nourish your skin and reduces oil secretion. This helps avoid pimples and acne. Lemon juice is an astringent that also reduces the secretion of oil from the skin. It also helps in reducing tan and removes grease from the skin. Pro Tip: You may also add Aloe Vera to the mixture.
