You can either go for shades from the same family of colours or totally different ones depending upon your choice. How to do Skittles Manicure at home in a few easy steps:

1. Before starting the manicure, make sure you remove your old nail polish with the help of a nail paint remover properly.
2. Start your skittles manicure by soaking your hands in warm water for ten-twelve minutes with a few drops of shampoo in it. Produce lather, now sit back and relax.
3. Then take out your hands and wash off the lather with lukewarm water and dry with the help of a towel.
4. One your hands are dried, use an earbud or some cotton pads to clean your nails completely inside out, and take out any dirt stuck between your nails skin. Also, don’t ignore your nail cuticles.
5. Now file them properly with the desired shape of nails and clean your hands by removing all the residue from after filing your nails.  
6. Use a moisturiser to nourish your hands, and now you're all set to apply nail polish to create a skittles manicure effect.
7. Apply five different shades in your left hand and repeat the same for your right hand. You can opt for shades of pink or green as they look uber-chic and goes with any attire.
