  1. Sunscreen acts as a shield: The SPF (sun protection factor) acts as a shield to your skin from the harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. The climatic conditions are worsening due to the depletion of the ozone layer. This further increases the risk of skin damage done by the harsh UV rays from the sun. Using a high-quality sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 50 can act a shield by protecting your skin and reducing such skin damage. Furthermore, it also prevents sunburns.
  2. Usage of sunscreen prevents tanning: Skin tanning is basically discolouration of your actual skin tone shade, making it darker due to exposure to the sun. Stepping out of the house under the scorching heat radiated by the sun is definitely not a good idea. You should always protect your skin with a layer of sunscreen. This not only prevents tanning but also helps in maintaining the health of your skin. Sunscreen also acts as a cosmetic product which also helps in beautifying your skin by locking in moisture.
  3. Sunscreen reduces the likelihood of skin cancer: The UV and UVB Rays from the sun are a menace. They can prove to be deadly if appropriate precautions are not taken against them. The dangerous UV and UVB Rays from the sun are one of the primary causes of skin cancer in India. By using sunscreen with high SPF, one can actually avert the risk of skin cancer to a great extent. In fact, it is recommended by dermatologists all over the world to use sunscreen with high SPF to prevent skin cancer.
