DIY at-home pedicure: If you are tired of stepping outside your house and getting your pedicure done then here is how you can do pedicure at home in easy steps.
We all love going to a salon and getting a royal treatment by getting our nails and hair done. But we are either low on money or don't want to step out of our house and get our nails done. So currently if you find that you are in a similar position and desperately want the best pedicure at home, look no further. All you need is a few tools. Here is how you can do a DIY at-home pedicure.
Step 1 - Trim your nails
This is the first step in DIY at-home pedicure. Don't cut your nails till they hurt you, instead, trim and shape your nails. Let the nail polish remover do its thing and trim your nails properly. Also, make sure that you cut your nails straight and avoid cutting the edges. Use a nail filer to give your nails your choice of shape.
Step 2 - Get a foot bath
This is the second step in DIY at-home pedicure. Fill your bathtub or take a bucket full of lukewarm water and fill water to fill up your ankles at least. You can add bath salts to the water. If you love essential oils, you can add a couple drops to the same. You can get a massage by adding some pebbles to the water. Soak your feet for at least 15 minutes and wipe off with a towel.
Step 3 - Exfoliation
Once you are done with your foot bath, exfoliation forms an important step in DIY at-home pedicure. Dry your feet with a towel and apply some cream to base of your toenails. Meanwhile, start scrubbing your foot with a foot scrub for a couple minutes. This will help remove the dead skin cells. Later push back your cuticles gently with a cuticle pusher.
Step 4 - Moisturise
Once you are done with scrubbing your feet, it is time to moisturise your feet. Moisturising helps them retain softness and protect your foot skin from cracking. Take a moisturiser, apply and simply move in circular motions. If done on a regular basis, it will help to keep your nerve endings stimulated.
Step 5 - Time for decoration
Once you are done with scrubbing and moisturising, it is time for 5th step in DIY at-home home pedicure. Paint your nails with the colour of your choice. Let it dry completely and then apply a nail coat. This will improve the life of nail polish.
