Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap's equation over the years

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been in the industry since 1999, but he was noticed only when he managed to score roles in Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Gangs of Wasseypur 2. The two have immense respect for each other as they have been really helpful to one another and have always been supporting each other. Recently, when Nawazuddin asked Anurag to make a cameo appearance in his brother’s directorial debut, Bole Chudiyan, he could not turn it down and added that he trusts Nawaz completely and will do anything for him.

The director says he will only stop working with Nawaz when they fail to produce something unique for the audience. Anurag says that he loves working with Nawazuddin because he is very flexible while acting and Anurag enjoys when actors do different roles. He does not appreciate when the whole industry takes one actor and casts them the same way in every film. He is also going to be seen in Nawaz’s upcoming film and this will not be the first time when he will be seen on the big screen.

Times when Nawaz and Anurag worked together

The duo has been working with each other since a longe time. First, they did a film called Dev. D, where Anurag was the director and Nawaz was a supporting cast member. The next film was Black Friday when they created some magic together for the audience. The next two films were from the Gangs of Wasseypur series, where the actor was playing a leading role as Faizal Khan. Later, they did a Netflix series together called Sacred Games.
