Blackheads are small dark lesions that appear on the skin. They are mostly seen on the face and on the neck. The cause of blackheads is not just oily skin but it could also appear as a result of poor diet as well as skin cleansing habits. Blackheads are caused when the skin pores get clogged with dead skin cells and oils. If it is not treated then it may lead to severe breakouts. The easiest way to keep blackheads away is to exfoliate your skin regularly.
Homemade scrubs
Flour+Honey+Warm Water
Mix 1 tbsp of flour and add 1 spoon of honey along with 1 spoon of warm water. Dip a cotton pad or a piece of muslin cloth into the mixture. Apply it onto the affected area. Leave it there for about 10 to 15 minutes. This mixture will suit all the skin types and might help you to get rid of blackheads.
Oatmeal+Curd+Turmeric+Honey
This is for those who have super sensitive skin and are also suffering from the problem of blackheads. Mix 1 teaspoon of all the ingredients and a pinch of turmeric, make a thick paste out of it. Apply this paste directly onto your face and leave it on your face for about 30 minutes and rinse it off with warm water.
Sugar+Lemon+Honey
Granulated sugar is considered as one of the best and the most gentle exfoliators. Mix 1 teaspoon of brown or white sugar along with half a teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture on your face and scrub it on the skin in a circular motion. Massage the mixture onto the skin for about 10 minutes and wash it off with warm water.
Rice flour+Green Tea+Milk
Rice flour is considered to have anti-ageing properties and is also known to have long term benefits. This scrub will help you get rid of dead cells on the skin. Green tea is known to be very beneficial to the skin it contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. Mix the rice flour and cut open one green tea bag and mix it with a teaspoon of milk. Apply this paste onto your face and scrub it for some time and wash it off.
