K-pop girl group TWICE has put itself on the global map once again, this time, for a non-singing accolade. The South Korean girl group's vocalist, Sana, now holds the record for a rather exquisite and luxe feat. The record in question, has previously been held by American singer Carrie Underwood.

TWICE's Sana sports a necklace worth $33 million

TWICE vocalist Sana recently attended the red carpet event commemorating the second anniversary of the Graff Ginza Main Store. For the evening event, Sana chose a marsala hued short-hemmed bodycon with sweeping trail details emerging from either end of the waist. The look was paired with a neatly done bun and black platform wedges completed with a barely there makeup look.

Sana came adorned in over 188 carats of Graff diamonds worth an estimated $33 million. The centerpiece of look - the necklace - was complimented by matching earrings and a statement ring. What's more, the 102.34 carat diamond necklace, comprises of the highest clarity round brilliant diamond in the world. Graff Diamonds CEO, Francois Graff, also expressed his thoughts on Sana's look for the evening. He said, "She looks incredible, extraordinary. She is our global superstar, fabulous!"

Sana has broken a record previously held by Carrie Underwood

The record for donning the most expensive and exquisite jewellery on the red carpet, was previously held by American singer Carried Underwood. For her 2013 Grammy's appearance, Carrie opted to sport a diamond necklace by Johnathon Arndt. The necklace was priced at $31 million.

Following in on a close second was Lady Gaga's $30 million Tiffany & Co. necklace sported by her at the Oscars red carpet in 2019 along with Beyoncé‘s $30 million Tiffany & Co. necklace sported at the 2022 Oscars after party.
