Legends narrate how the melodious ring of her bell during battles banished countless wicked demons to the God of Death's realm.
Navratri 2023 Day 3: Puja rituals
On the third day of Navratri, falling on October 17, the Brahma Muhurat begins at 4:42 am and ends at 5:33 am. The Abhijit Muhurat extends from 11:43 pm to 12:29 pm, while the Amrit Kal reigns from 11:23 am to 1:02 pm. The colour of the day is resplendent red.

Devotees commence the day by donning new attire and bathing the Goddess idol with Kesar, Ganga Jal, and Kewra. The Goddess is adorned in golden garments and offered yellow flowers, Jasmine, panchamrit, and mishri. A delectable kheer serves as a special bhog, concluding the sacred puja. As prasad, kheer is lovingly presented to Maa Chandraghanta.
