Egg Custard Tart
These bite-sized pastries which are easily available on the streets of Hongkong, Macau and several other parts of China are a people’s favourite. The making of these takes only 5 ingredients and most of which are probably lying in your kitchen right now. So go hurry and make a few ones while we hog on some.
Ube Halaya
Also known as Halayang Ube, this is a Philippine dessert. It is made of Ube aka purple yam which is mashed and then mixed with condensed milk and/or sweetened coconut milk. The mixture is then put into a saucepan with some melted butter. It is then stirred until thickened. Ube Halaya is usually served cold. You can top it up with some grated coconut or condensed milk as well. Easy?
Fried Banana Cakes
Chinese banana fritters are quite different from the American counterpart. They contain fewer calories and satisfy your sweet tooth both at the same time. It can be adapted to a vegan version also. To create these, you need to coat the bananas with a thin layer of the batter and fry them until they are crispy. These can be served with a dressing of condensed milk.
Mango Sticky Rice
One bite and you will be diving into dessert heaven. One of the most popular and widely available Asian Thai desserts is scrumptious and fulfilling. Although we have a secret for you: You can make these as well. Place some mango slices over the sticky rice and drizzle loads of sweet coconut sauce all over.
Red Bean Soup
Even though the name does not suggest dessert, we assure you that its heaven! This sweet soup is a traditional Chinese dessert. For people who prefer little sweet, this is a perfect choice.
