Diwali is a huge festival in India and it has now become a popular festival abroad as well. This year, Donald Trump will celebrate Diwali in the White House for the third time. The celebration will occur on Thursday and will include festivities and lighting of the sacred Diya (Lamp). The tradition of Diwali in the White House was started initially by Barack Obama in 2009.

These delicious Diwali snacks are not only tasty but some of them are healthy as well. Loaded with ghee and sugar, they are sweets that one won't stop binging on. Other savory dishes include samosas, kachori, aloo Tikki, and many more. These can be prepared at home from medium to spicy as per your preference. They can easily be purchased from various shops as well. Diwali decorations have also been selling in huge numbers for a while now.

Diwali brings in positive vibes with the victory of light over darkness. Last year, Indian Ambassador to the US, Navtej Singh Sarna, was invited for Diwali in White House by President Trump in the Roosevelt Room. In the past years during Diwali, President Trump has made references to his healthy friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. US President Donald Trump will celebrate Diwali in the White House, three days ahead of the main day. This year Diwali falls on the 27th of October.
