With Diwali coming up this week, we would love to have as many sweets as possible without gaining any weight. Here's a few recipes of gluten-free sweets to try

Gluten-free diet means a diet which excludes protein gluten. Gluten is a substance found in wheat, barley, and rye. People suffering from celiac disease or other medical conditions are suggested to go on a gluten-free diet. People who work out a lot and follow a strict diet are the ones who follow a gluten-free diet for improved health, weight loss and increased energy. Since Diwali is coming up this week, here are a few gluten-free sweets you could enjoy guilt-free.
Coconut laddoo
Coconut laddoos are made of shredded coconut, dry fruits, coconut milk, coconut oil, all-purpose flour and sugar. To make gluten-free coconut laddoos, substitute sugar with jaggery and all-purpose flour with coconut flour. Add a little cardamom powder to the mixture
Method:
Grind and blend coconut flakes in a blender. Add cardamom powder. Heat coconut milk in a pan and add oil and sugar. Mix it. Add coconut flour and mix. Keep adding small amounts of coconut. Mix well and turn off the flame. Let it cool for some time and make laddoos.
Kaju Katli
Kaju Katli is one of those sweets which is everyone’s favourite. Here is a recipe to prepare gluten-free, vegan Kaju katlis.
Method:
In a saucepan, place sugar and water and let it boil. Lower the heat and add cardamom and saffron. Let the syrup cook for five minutes. Let the syrup cook till the paste becomes thread-like. Add cashew paste after cooling the syrup. Apply walnut oil to your hands and knead the paste after mixing well. Take a plate and grease it well. Spread the paste evenly on the plate and let it cool. Cut into diamond shapes and serve.
Besan ladoo
Besan Ladoos are one of the most important sweets prepared in one’s household. It is made of chickpea flour, sugar, and dry fruits. Here is the recipe of how to make gluten-free besan ladoos.
Method:
In a pan, add chickpea flour and roast it well. Add cocoa butter, coconut flakes and mix it well. Add jaggery and dry fruits. Add coconut milk to form a lumpy mixture. Leave it for a minute and turn off the flame. After the mixture is cooled down. Make laddoos and serve.
