Winters are that time when people crave for various tasty delicacies. In this season, indulging yummy food items to add a bit of warmth to the daily routine is totally acceptable. Hot chai and pakodas work wonder as a stand-alone treat. Some dishes and snacks from different parts of India are just so needed to munch on during winters. So, here are some special food items that can ease your winter cravings.
Jalebi
Jalebi, a sweet delicacy that is one of the favourite choices of most of the people who has a sweet tooth. Jalebis are at also accompanied with hot Kesar milk in Delhi and Punjab. In Indore and Udaipur, jalebis are served with poha, a favourite combination. Hot jalebis that are particularly thin and thus crunchy to eat, leave each one of us drooling.
Oondhiya
Oondhiya is a traditional Gujarati dish. It is a combination of vegetables and fenugreek (methi) dumplings which are cooked in aromatic spices. It is not just incredibly delicious, but also very healthy to eat. However, the preparation of this delicacy traditionally takes time, but it is worth waiting.
Sarson Ka Saag

Pakodas
Pakodas are that Indian dish which is anytime favourite and tasty of almost all the people. Especially, pakodas that are prepared with onions and potatoes. This food item is served with imli and mint chutney and hot chai in all the states.
Gajar ka Halwa
This Indian dish is very special which has immense flavour and homemade love. Gajar ka halwa is a winter staple which includes cashew nuts, almonds and khoya. Winters in India are incomplete without gajar ka halwa.
